I woke up this morning to this:
Our robin's nest turned asunder, and initially, no babies to be found
.
I did eventually find two of the three babies, and thinking they were dead, tried to scoop them up very gently. Turns out, they were both still alive, barely, so I righted the nest and (never touching them, because I don't know if it's a myth or not) tucked them both back in, hoping beyond hope that their mom would show up.
She has. She's been in the nest with them since I put them back in.
Fingers crossed and good vibes...

Ack! I hope everything turns out - those poor little things.
Nature in the backyard can be a heartbreak.
Was the other nest ok?
The other nest is fine - it's up higher and the mother is always in it -
I think one of the babies made it, but not the other - it really is heartbreaking, isn't it?
Sending good vibes - we had a Robin's nest last year, but sadly, a critter got to them, and we lost all the babies.
So sad...
awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, the poor little things! So glad you came to the rescue! We had a robin's nest last year right near our patio. One baby fell out as it was getting ready to fly and Bandit scooped him up...he didn't make it. Tragedy in the backyard. What is one to do when you adopt a former bird dog?
