yes we do. My grandfather survived WWI, my dad made it through Korea, my husband's grandfather was in the Black Watch. I remember them all today, and every other day.I may not support where our troops are now, but I support them for doing it.
I'm with you - but why use an American photo? We have many (too many) of our own to honour.
I hadn't actually thought of it as an American photo - just a picture of loss that speaks to me, reminds me...
